Why it stays here
A book is a personal thing: what you read, when you read it, and who you borrowed it from. There is no upload endpoint on this site, and the page is served with a policy that stops the browser opening a connection to anywhere else even if something tried.
What it will not do
It does not remove DRM, and it will not pretend a conversion worked when it did not. Protected books are recognised and refused with an explanation. Formats that cannot be produced honestly are not offered.
